What the day looks like
You’re on holiday in Villa La Angostura and you have a free morning. Or you’re the parent who wants to show the kids the lake from the water, not from the shore. Or you’ve simply never picked up a rod and you want to know what it feels like, without committing a whole day to find out.
We leave from Puerto Elma, on the shore of the Nahuel Huapi, in Villa La Angostura.
That is what this trip is for.
We head out onto the Nahuel Huapi and, as the shoreline goes by, we show you how the water moves, where the fish feed and why. We hand you the rod with whatever technique the day calls for — trolling, spinning or fly — and you fish. No classroom, no long speech: out here the lake teaches faster than any course.
You don’t need to know anything beforehand. Just some free time and the curiosity to see what fishing is about, from the inside.
And if it leaves you wanting more, that is what the full day is for.
If you’re after specific techniques or trophy fish, this isn’t your trip: that is what the full day and the float trips are for.
Who it’s for
Anglers who have never held a fly rod. Families with teenagers. Anyone who wants to try before committing to a full day.

Advanced anglers looking for specific techniques or trophy fish.
A note from Hugo: in three hours you don’t learn to fish. You learn to read the water. That is what you take home.
Trip details
Capacity: recommended for 1–2 anglers; maximum 4 people.
With 3–4 people the trip keeps normal fishing at a more relaxed, sightseeing pace compared with a two-angler day.

Large groups
For more than 4 people we arrange 2 or more boats (a family of six goes in two boats). Ask about availability and price.
Weather policy
In wind, rain or a Prefecture alert for the planned water, we move the day or change water during the trip. The deposit is non-refundable.
